And her parents, Charles and Delia Deetz? They were quite a pair. Jeffrey Jones played Charles, Lydia’s father, and Catherine O’Hara played Delia, the eccentric stepmother. Their over-the-top personalities were a huge part of the movie's charm.

The Main Man of Mischief

And, of course, we can’t forget the bio-exorcist himself, Beetlejuice. Michael Keaton’s portrayal of the manic, crude, and utterly unforgettable ghost was pure magic. He stole every scene he was in, and his energy is still infectious when you rewatch the film.

Then there was the utterly terrifying (and yet, strangely captivating) leader of the Handbook for the Recently Deceased, Juno, played by the legendary Sylvia Sidney.

Patrice O'Neal was a brilliant comedian and actor. He was known for his sharp wit and his observational humor. Tragically, he passed away in 2011, but his comedic legacy lives on.

Sylvia Sidney was a true Hollywood icon with a long and distinguished career. She had a presence that commanded attention, and her role as Juno was unforgettable. She passed away in 1999, leaving behind a rich body of work.

And let’s not forget Otho, the pretentious interior designer played by Glenn Shadix. His dramatic pronouncements and over-the-top reactions were a highlight of the film. He brought such a unique energy to the character.

Glenn Shadix continued to act in films and television after Beetlejuice. He was known for his distinctive voice and his ability to play quirky, memorable characters. He sadly passed away in 2010.
